Following a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art / Media) Degree at RMIT Melbourne, Jack worked in the Australian industry before settling in year 2000 in Berlin. Jack’s short film OLLI (35mm), a co-production with the Hochschule für Film und Fernsehen Konrad Wolf, played at over forty international festivals winning prizes, accolades and received the FBW’s German certificate ‘Besonders Wertvoll’ and short film of the month.
His debut feature, the documentary 'BETWEEN HOME: Odyssey of an unusual sea bandit' premiered at Achtung Berlin before going onto to screen at various international festivals.
Jack has edited numerous film and television productions, worked as video designer in theatre and opera and was nominated for an A.F.I (Australian Film Institute) Award for his work on the film HURT. Presently as a freelancer his work encompasses concept development, writing, directing and editing on regular basis with visavis Filmproduktion GmbH.
Recently Jack played the role of ‘Gunman’ in Frauke Havemann and Eric Schefter's feature film WEATHER HOUSE which premiered in 2017 at Slamdance.
He is an Alumni of the Berlin Talent Campus, and has given numerous filmmaking workshops with the Deutsches Filminstitut, Deutsches Film Academy, bilderbewegen e.V. - IDFA and Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch.
His sophomore feature DOWN BROTHER UP (w.t) is currently in development.
